Job Description

Grohney AAA LLP is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive our firm's growth and market expansion. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain client relationships, and create effective sales and marketing strategies. You will work closely with partners and service line leaders to promote our audit, tax, and advisory services to target clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within professional services, excellent networking skills, and a deep understanding of the market landscape in East Africa.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive firm growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients
- Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients
- Coordinate with service line leaders on cross-selling opportunities
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities
- Track and report on business development metrics and activities
- Collaborate with marketing team on client engagement initiatives
- Develop sector-specific approaches for key industries

Requirements

- 7+ years of business development experience, preferably in professional services
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience developing and implementing successful BD strategies
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding of audit, tax, and advisory services
- Knowledge of key industries and market dynamics in East Africa
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel within the region

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- MBA or other advanced degree (preferred)
- Professional qualifications in accounting or business (an advantage)
- Sales or business development certifications (an advantage)
